Let AI act without losing control

MatesBot teammates act on their own by default, and you add the exceptions: ask before purchases, ask before sending external email, or rules per tool or app. An AI reviewer flags unexpected actions, and passwords are encrypted and never shown to the AI model.

Control starts with approval rules. You decide which actions need your OK. Some actions always ask, whatever your rules say: deleting or archiving a teammate, requests for secrets, forgetting memory, and trusting a new server.

Flag unexpected actions adds an AI reviewer that asks you when it is unsure instead of letting the action through.

Passwords and keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, entered in a masked card, never shown to the AI model, and blanked out of tool output. Spaces keep chats, files, memory, computers, and connections separate.

How it works

  1. 1

    Set approval rules

Add exceptions like "Ask before purchases" or "Ask before sending external email", or rules per tool or app.

  2. 2

    Turn on the AI reviewer

Flag unexpected actions asks you when the reviewer is unsure.

  3. 3

Enter secrets in the masked card

The teammate can use a login without the model ever seeing it.

  4. 4

    Organize people and spaces

Use roles, spaces, and weekly spend limits to decide who can do what.

Example tasks

  • Draft supplier emails freely, but ask before sending any of them.
  • Ask before any purchase in the browser.
  • Keep each client's work in its own space with separate computers and memory.
  • Limit a team member's weekly AI spend.
  • Choose which AI models members may use.

What stays in your control

  • Roles: owner, admin, and member.
  • Admins can invite people, suspend a member (which stops their bots), and hand a person's teammates to someone else.
  • Sharing a teammate shares its setup only, never its computer, credentials, files, private memory, or history.
  • You choose who may ask each shared teammate for what, and new askers need your approval.

Frequently asked questions

How do I stop a teammate doing something I don't want?

Add approval rules, turn on the AI reviewer that flags unexpected actions, and take control of its screen at any time.

Does the AI see my passwords?

No. Passwords and keys are entered in a masked card, encrypted with AES-256-GCM, never shown to the AI model, and blanked out of tool output.

What always needs my approval?

Deleting or archiving a teammate, requests for secrets, forgetting memory, and trusting a new server always ask.

Can I keep teams or clients apart?

Yes. Spaces keep chats, files, memory, computers, and connections separate.
